HONEST REVIEW - MARY- LOU MANIZER

The Balm has become a more and more well known makeup brand in the last couple of years. I'm sure you'll of heard of the nude 'tude palette and the Bahama mama bronzer. But perhaps one of the most popular products by the Balm is the Mary Lou manizer highlight powder.

Just like the Hoola Bronzer, its an expensive product which you don't want to waste your pennies on. So, here is a quick review of one of the most talked about highlighters in makeup.

This product retails at £17.50 on the Debenhams website, or $24 on The Balm website... however if you search on the internet, you can get it tonnes cheaper on loads of different websites. Like the Hoola bronzer, its quite expensive so its worth reading a few reviews before you buy it.

First up, the Mary Lou-Manizer has a gorgeous formula. Its a lovely champagne gold, with some amazing honey tones that really catch the light and accentuate the high points of your face. It comes in really cute vintage style packaging and its really really compact, with a little mirror if you need to top it up during the day... which you don't even really need to do; it lasts for ages. (It lasts even longer with a setting spray, and if you're not prepared to splash out on something like the Urban Decay setting spray, try the L'Oreal Paris infallible fixing mist).

It's also a really buildable product and is great for a really glowy look or just a subtle sweep across your face. Perhaps the best thing about this product is that it can be used practically anywhere on your face. Using a fan brush or a flats foundation brush (that's what I find works best), you can put it on your cheekbones, brow bone, the centre of your chin, your cupids bow and the tip of your nose, not only that, it looks incredible as an eyeshadow or in the inner corner of your eye to make your eyes look bigger.

It also looks amazing on the bridge of your nose; creating the illusion of a slimmer nose. Genuinely, I could bathe in this stuff. It looks great with either a matte or shimmery blusher and obviously makes your contour look even better, as it brings your cheekbones forward in contrast to the hollowing illusion of your contour.

I honestly can't recommend this product enough and it's certainly worth the price I paid, and I will 100% be re-purchasing it when I run out.
